Sihir Perempuan (Black Magic Woman) is the first book published by Intan Paramaditha in 2005. Short-listed for the Khatulistiwa Literary Award, Sihir Perempuan is a collection of 11 short horror stories about women: mothers, white-collared workers, porcelain dolls. What appear to be comfortable roles are terrorized by a dark landscape populated by wandering spirits, vampires, murderers.

This book has not been translated into English. Some stories, however, have been translated for different projects:

* “Vampir” (Vampire) – translated for a reading at the Utan Kayu International Literary Biennale.

* “Pemintal Kegelapan” (Spinner of Darkness) – translated for the I-Lit journal 2012. It is part of a mini book featuring Intan Paramaditha’s stories, which will be published in 2015.
